Hi !
On some maps ( like Arctic convoy ) a cargo fleet is protected by war ships ( cruisers, or destroyers ).
Every time I attack a war ships , it is only damaged , not sunk .
Can a war ships be destroyed on these maps ?

F/JG300_Olaf,

Yes, all ships can be destroyed. Depending on what side you fly? I fly mainly for the Luftwaffe and therefore I & Evil Eye have combined our knowledge in relation to the German ordnance tabulated data. I've provided the link below;

Your ordnance selection will play a big part in what your trying to destroy. For example, wherever possible when I create missions & the axis side have ship targets to hit I try to include the "SD = SPRENGBOMBE DICKWANDIG" (thick cased semi-Armour piercing) SD500 = 70m blast radius, & is used to hit ships.

I hope I've helped answer your question.

Regards

Now, I realize that between languages, certain words and spellings have different meanings.
Often times they can be downright vulgar from one language to another.

DICKWANDIG

Either the above has happened or, this is a joke, right?
ROFL!!

Apart from that, thanks for the link. VERY useful and I'd totally forgotten it was here.
Questions about this come up constantly.

If anyone has the chance, I'd also request that torpedos be added?

THANK YOU!

Also I forgot to mention, depending on the size of the military ship your trying to sink will also directly relate to how many of a certain variant of ordnance you need to use.

SD = SPRENGBOMBE DICKWANDIG (thick cased semi-armour piercing). These were medium cased steel weapons and, being either anti-personnel or semi-armour piercing, had a load factor of 35 per cent explosive; because of their penetration qualities they were used primarily against ships and fortifications. Those dropped locally were the 50, 250, 500 and 1700 kg versions.

Yep, spot on Gunny, as I've amended missions, I've ensured that the SD-5oo if available for those particular aircraft (axis) are included if shipping are identified as targets. I've noted that allied ordnance does not vary as much unlike axis.
