Hello Gents,

I´ve been playing around quite a lot in order to find a plugin for Ts3 to get rid of the "skypeish" sound of it. Actually it sounds too good, too clean for me to use it with a WW2 simulation. I found 2 options:

1- the Walkie Talkie plugin at the TS3 page. Easy to install, and was working on my other PC.  But I think it could be buggy for some users
One thing to note:

WARNING: if the plugin fails to load, you need to install one of these packs:

http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=5555
http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=14632

http://addons.teamspeak.com/directory/plugins/miscellaneous/WalkieTalkie.html

Of course you have to enable it in the Settings/plugins

And exit TS3 before installing it!

2- After messing around a lot with it and not being able to make it work on this PC. I found option two, courtesy of the ATAG guys.

This was working for me like a charm. I unzipped the file to the TS3/plugins and activated the plugin.

Good luck and enjoy

Please tell me why we need to degrade from the high quality TeamSpeak3  to a WWII radio effect, when we have just upgraded from TeamSpeak 2 to have clearer communications?

I like it besides sounding pretty cool  Cool adds a new feel/realism to the game for me Smiley.

I don´t like that much the clear sound of the TS3. when I´am on the server. Gives me more immersion with the crappy TS2 or WW2 sound. I was not too happy with the TS2 to TS3 upgrado because of the very same reason. Now I´am absolutely happy with TS3, as I am able to downgrade the quality. Smiley

Sorry,

Here you go:

http://theairtacticalassaultgroup.com/forum/showthread.php?791-WWII-Radio-Plugin

As I found out it is a bit misleading that you have to drag low those "effect volume meters" to have to louder. A default it is really hard to understand too much distorsion is applied, but once you fine tuned, sounds really inmersive.

kind regards

The main problem with the comms on TS is that everyone is one channel. Would be a lot better if there were 6 or 7 flight channels for each side, that way comms from one flight would not conflict with flights on the other side of the map.

I created 11 different squad channels at squad leaders requests.  Within 2 or 3 weeks the novelty wears off and people do not bother to use them any more.  Please use these.

Ok, I didn't know the squadron channels were public. I'll try it out.
