Hi Zip,

Sorry to hear about the problem. I have no answer for you since I'm as close to worthless with this side of it, but I'll ask around.
One thing that would help would be to post what you have.
Processor, motherboard, vid card, amount of RAM and what O/S.

Hey Pepper!
I think I got it figured out.
When I did a computer case swap a few months ago I had some probs with my sound card then, and the driver install.
Running this game brought it to my attention again.
The game seemed to run flawlessly but my motherboard would shut the on board sound off to keep it that way I think.
(ASUS P6X58D-E Mother board)
Windows 7 is the culprit being that it keeps loading the drivers from Window's for the on board sound card, and stops the X-fi soundblaster drivers from installing.
Had the same problem with my vid drivers when I 1st built my rig.
I read on the forums some where else how to deal with this problem.
Had to do it with safe mode, and changing something in the updates section of Windows 7.
I'll keep you updated.
I plan to mess with it this weekend.

Hey vonzipper

1. Have you disabled the on board sound chip through the bios on your motherboard?

2. If not......

a.  On boot up load the bios screen (press keyboard delete) and go into the bios and disable the on-board sound card.  There is a setting that most manufactures set as enabled by default.  Make sure it is disabled.
b.  Now uninstall the Creative labs software that you  have already installed and reboot you PC.
c.  Install (Put the Creative Labs software back on) and see if the problem is solved.

This can all be accomplished in a very short period of time.

Hey Gunnie, and Pepper!

Yep Gunnie I found out how to that on the Creative web site but thanks though!
After my last post I had problem's with my sound card not working at all.
It was due to not all the soft ware being removed during the un install, and Window's 7 updating my driver's when i didn't want it to  Angry
Some thing as simple as Window's temp folder still having left overs in it was the problem with the re install, and Windows update.
Having Norton 360 empty the temp folders, and Revo un install all the software, and turning off Window's update.
I rebooted the computer, ran system mechanic to clean out the registry's' and repair them.
Shut down the computer, and put the card back in, and rebooted the computer.
Bingo the light on the side of the card came on.
Installed the software, updated it, and rebooted.
Bingo the I/O lights came on on the Soundblaster X-Fi Titanium WooooHooo.
Fired up the game, and the in game sounds all work.   (What a pain this all was LOL)
I'm all happy now!    (My bad 1C)

Get in there and start dying with me:)

Kidding aside, sure glad you figured it out.
But mostly thanks for the info. Hopefully this will help someone else at some point.
But man...what a pain to go through all that!
I'd have never figured that out.

Buukahey-it's a good day to die lol  (I think the spelling is right on that Lakota word lol)
I got that from Charles Bronson flick call White Buffalo I think.
Crazy Horse kept saying that during the long rang shoot out with long guns.
Yep it's was a pain, and took some thought.
I'm just glad i didn't have to do a operating system re install like I thought i was going to have to do.
P.S. hope the info dose help some one out.
