TrackIR Z axis not working in 2.01/409m

Hi guys. been a long time. well i have posted this in the other of the big 3. SAS and UP sites with no current solution which brought me here. I don't think many people still run 2.01/409m but i brought it out the ashes so i could relive the days of Tiger's sound mod and man it has been sweet! But for some stupid reason, I lost my Z axis or ability to lean forward or side to side. I do remember spits vs 109 server (without mods) had that same issue but i cant remember why you couldn't get the Z axis to work. Well at any rate, it completely works with UP3rc4 and dbw. everything is activated like it's supposed to be and as far as i can tell, there seems to be no mod conflicts. Everything is entered into conf.ini correctly. maybe it is a mod just going haywire i dunno. So if you guys could think back on if there was any issues like this when we were all playing 2.01 would be much appreciated. And shift F1 is not the culprit. Thanks for any help. S!

Chaney, IIRC the 6 DOF that you are talking about for the vanilla game didn't come about until version 4.11 (or might have been 4.10?), either way, if you want it with 4.09 then mods are the only way forward.

I have 4.09m. What do you mean by modded? I have all kinds of mods in my 2.01. Ahhhhh we did have 4.10 in UP2.01 didn't we? And that gave the better 6DOF i believe but many people say that they have it in 4.09m. So I'm still confused lol. what is IIRC?

By modded I mean UP, SAS, DBW and the like, which from your original post, you've already got.  If you wanted to patch your 4.09 up to 4.11.1 then there are a number of sites that have these downloads (mission 4 today has them all , but other sites are available), but once the updates have been applied, then you can't roll back to the previous version. Currently 4.11.1 has 6DOF and the vanilla server is pretty good, but isn't compatable with any mods at the moment however but I may be wrong on this, no doubt someone else might be able to correct me on that.

Sorry if I wasn't so clear. I don't want to have any installation other than 2.01/4.09m. The trackIR "Z" axis isn't working. I tried using the updater and it doesn't even connect to a server. My 6DOF used to work for 2.01 however, I reinstalled it and now i have every axis except the "Z".

*SOLVED*  After much attempts to find out the source of this problem (4 days), I looked into my old 2.01 jsgmemods folder and compared the 6dof mods which at that time were attached to executables...ie, 512, 256, etc. I was apparently missing the il2fbexe. file in the 6dof mod folder. This, back then, was required to pump the 6dof correctly. Now it's fully on. This is great news because now people with 2.01 who cant wait for UV3 to come out, can at least enjoy the full effects of what this mod used to be like. Since much of the downloads are somewhere in the "archives" i have saved them all so if you need them, i can try and find a way to upload them on file planet. (buttons 8.7, the DIFFM used during that time period, and UV2 is still downloadable out there right mick? I couldn't find it for nothing on the french site. even with a translator. But hey, we all may scream at times to get crap to work but diligence and and the will to keep trying (or breaking) pays off in the end. Someone with this same issue can benefit from this now. Sorry Chaney, I totally mis-read your original post, here's me banging my gums about mods etc etc and you were infact talking about a previous version of UP , that will teach me to read the flipping question....  Glad you got it sorted in the end.
